Using Verbosity Schemes

Chapter 1: Introduction

Verbosity schemes offer a way to control exactly what Hal or Supernova outputs in relation to the current object. The higher the level of verbosity the more information about the control and its status is provided.

By default, Hal and Supernova come with 4 Braille and speech verbosity schemes titled minimum, low, medium and high. These pre-defined schemes can be customised or new schemes can be added. In the pages ahead we will describe the steps to customise a verbosity scheme and give examples of the changes you might just want to apply.

But before embarking on the steps to create and modify verbosity schemes let us take a look at what happens when switching verbosity schemes. Select the "Next Page" button to begin.
