The session is designed to showcase the only complete DAISY solution -from production to playback- that alternative format providers & specialists may like to add to their toolkit.
The session will be a live, interactive demonstration that will elaborate on Dolphin EasyConverter's intuitive user experience and functionality in providing the ultimate choice of DAISY, MP3, Large print and Braille. Dolphin Publisher creates fully synchronised text and audio DAISY books with human narration, including copyright tools to protect content, and Dolphin EasyReader: the next generational DAISY player which provides the functionality of instant access and intuitive user experience customized to meet students needs.
Presentation:
The Dolphin DAISY solution is designed to address the challenging issues of intuitive DAISY creation, file conversion and choice of access. Providing providers and students with a rich choice of outputs such as DAISY, MP3, Large print and Braille, the EasyConverter is an intuitive conversion tool for the provider's accommodations toolkit.
Whether starting from scratch or working with EasyConverter, Publisher is the only complete DAISY production tool that gives you the choice to use human recorded audio and customize your DAISY book with foot notes, side bars and page numbers. Your DAISY book can also come with fully synchronised text and audio, advanced mark ups and added copyright protection.
What comes after DAISY production? An alternative format provider knows that their job isn't over yet. They need to provide students with access and the ability to access the newly created DAISY materials. With the Dolphin EasyReader, a user has a varied range of functionalities to choose from. They can jump to specific pages, add bookmarks, and search the text. This session will offer a live, hands-on demonstration of Dolphin's latest DAISY reader. Not just a player, its ease of use and customized functionality will enable the users of the EasyReader to overcome their learning disabilities and visual impairments to make reading a pleasure again.
The session aims to showcase to providers the DAISY Solution that creates student-ready accessible, alternative format materials. We will demonstrate the practical implications of the DAISY solution as our focus is on providing customized solutions to meet a student's unique needs while at the same time reducing the time and hassle, providing ease of use, and flexibility to the DAISY provider.
The presenter will invite audience members with real life dilemmas and challenges to use the one click of a button solution to convert their source files to create their very own DAISY and use the DAISY playback tool to listen as their students would.
